More than 60 years ago, a group of visionary yacht clubs founded what is now the Recreational Boating Association of Washington (RBAW). We’re proud to say that many of these original clubs remain active Organizational Members, contributing to our mission to support and enhance recreational boating in Washington.

• Organizational Membership is open to all recreational boating associations, including yacht clubs, cruising clubs, and other organizations dedicated to promoting boating in Washington and adjacent waters. 
• An Organizational Membership is valuable for your Club as a whole, as well as each of your Memberships (individual or family):

1. The Yacht Club becomes an Affiliated club member of RBAW (Organizational Member) and appoints a Delegate to represent their club at RBAW’s monthly Board of Director meetings* and the Annual Meeting of the Organizational members.  
2. Delegates are authorized to vote at Organizational Member meetings, with each club having one vote (determine annual priorities, vote in the slate of Officers and Directors, etc.).
   
3. Additionally, each of your Yacht Club Memberships will receive an Individaul Membership in RBAW with all the benefits!!  

Your dues and support play a critical role in protecting the boating community—helping maintain freedom from overbearing legislation, ensuring boating-related taxes and fees are limited, and reinvested in initiatives for boaters, and more. Through RBAW, we serve every boat owner by championing programs that promote better boating in the Pacific Northwest.
